Hydrogeologic Field Services Manager – Summer 2023

HRS Water Consultants, Inc. is accepting resumes for a full-time Hydrogeologic Field Services Manager who is passionate about solving water and environmental problems and has 10 to 20 years of professional consulting experience. We seek a client-focused, seasoned hydrogeologist who is well-versed in the consulting business cycle and has significant experience scoping, budgeting, and managing large, complex hydrogeologic field investigations in a variety of geologic environments and terrains. The position requires experience with water well drilling, environmental drilling, and sampling methods commonly used in the water well and groundwater monitoring and remediation industries. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Writing detailed scopes of work for large, complex drilling and sampling projects
  • Preparing accurate budgets for large, complex drilling and sampling projects
  • Managing teams of field personnel in completing drilling and sampling projects
  • Overseeing contractor activities including borehole drilling, well installation, hydraulic testing, coring, sampling, and geophysical investigations

The ideal candidate will have good working relationships with a variety of drilling companies in the southwestern states and be able to leverage these relationships to complete field projects on time and under budget. In addition, the position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and may involve office-based hydrogeologic work including preparing and delivering high-quality proposals, work plans, and technical reports to clients, and quantitative analysis of hydrogeologic and environmental data.

Candidates should have a BS in geology, hydrology, geological engineering, or other earth-science related field. A MS is preferred though not necessarily required. Experience in groundwater and fate and transport modeling, and education and experience in chemistry and/or geochemistry will be a plus. Experience in project management, litigation support, and using GIS and 3D visualization software is a plus. Must have a strong health and safety focus.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000 depending on education, certifications, experience, and special skills. Other benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings consistent with the Company’s existing plans and policies. Also, HRS may offer end-of-year bonuses depending on the financial performance of the company.

Staff Hydrogeologist/Technician – Summer 2023

HRS Water Consultants, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Staff Hydrogeologist/Technician who is passionate about solving water and environmental problems and has 0 to 2 years of professional experience. We seek self-motivated candidates with a degree in geology, geological engineering, or earth science-related field who work well independently and on teams. Our Staff Hydrogeologists are enthusiastic about performing field work and will spend a significant amount of time in the field. Experience in GIS, geochemistry, environmental chemistry, data analysis, statistics, and mathematics will be beneficial. Experience in water rights and environmental consulting will be beneficial. The ideal candidate will look forward to field work, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and have GIS experience.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000 depending on education, certifications, experience, and special skills.
